Where
were you born?
In sunny Stoke-on-Trent Staffordshire.
Where
do you live now?
Still in sunny Stoke-on-Trent. (is there anywhere else
worth living?)
How
long have you been riding trials?
I have been riding trials with or without an engine for
the past 15 years or more.
How
did you get into trials?
I got into trials through my Dad, who was riding motorcycle
trials when I was really young so I naturally wanted to start
riding too. After that I rode for Gas Gas youth trials team as
a kid and then had a few rather large accidents made me move over
to riding the push bike variant and I have been doing that ever
since.
What
is your best achievement to date?
Being Expert European champion in 2006 and being the
first ever English man to make the top 10 in the UCI Elite class
in 2007.
What
are your goals in 2008?
To do better than what I did in 2007, but serious attempt
to push myself to a higher level and to promote my new pro model
bike that arrives at the end of the year hopefully.
Who
are your most influential riders?
The riders that have influenced and inspired me through
the years have been Thierry Giraud for his professionalism and
being the original UCI champion and Marc Caisso for his smooth
competition style and cat like balance.
Where
is your favourite place to ride?
My Favourite place to ride is a local place to me called
the Roaches which is a place that I train at. The rocks are as
big as houses and really abrasive allowing you to push yourself
to the next level which is what you really need to improve.
Who
are your sponsors?
